Steering mods... Thoughts & opinions please.

Hello again.
Having had a good grope over the Minor, the main restriction to dimensions of potential engines seems to the the pesky steering rack.
At this stage I am keen not to totally re engineer the front suspension, so was wondering how practical it is to relocate the rack.
It looks like the steering arm could be cut'n'shut or extended upwards a few inches without affecting geometry, allowing the rack to be lifted.
Or indeed rotated 180 / extended downwards, or make some steering arms that bolt onto the kingpin using the brake mounting bolts...
Any of these worth considering - or does someone just happen to have some pics of any other alternatives ?
Cheers !
