I signed up for the online version of Minor Monthly Magazine, and my status has been confirmed, but I can't access.
I realize there's no affiliation with the MMOC, but do any of you have an online sub to Minor Monthly? Their website is not very user-friendly, i.e.,
no contact info, etc.

The magazine is published by poundbury publishing. Here is the contact number 01305 262760 . I had to ring them and they were really helpful.
Here is a link to theior website.

A few years ago I subscribed. I found that it contained numerous technical inaccuracies, atrocious grammar, and an irritating layout. :( My car was featured in one issue, and the write-up was full of mistakes. Despite writing to them on numerous matters I never once received an acknowledgement. I didn't bother to renew. There has been a change of editor so things might have improved, but when I suggested to the subscription department that they send me one copy to evaluate, I was met with the usual wall of silence.

The MMOC's own magazine "Minor Matters" is far far superior and delivered every two months to all members as part of your subscription. :D

lol. Poundbury is the local 'noddy' estate.

An experimental 'village' designed by Prince Charles in a moment of madness.

Its like 'PleasantVille' occupied by the cast of 'The Muppet Show'.

Nevertheless, I'd be interested in seeing a sample of this magazine, especially seeing as how its localy based to me.

Minor Monthly has improved so much since Jon Betts took it on in my opinion, well done Jon. No disrespect to Brian, he was a good bloke and I did get on well with him, but I think he was running low on ideas and starting to struggling a bit. Being an editor must be a stressful job. To put it another way though, I won't be hesitating when my subscription is due, the cheque will be on it's way.
The MMOC magazine on the other hand is not really my thing, it needs something to liven it up, again though it's only my opinion. I did send in some suggestions but had no reply and nothing ever came of it, so never bothered again, but I find young peoples views dont normaly get counted in car clubs anyway.
Back to the original question, minor monthly do have emails if you want to save the phone call, I expect they are on the website somewhere, or Jon might call by here if your lucky.

If anyone would like a sample of the magazine drop me a PM or email to jon@poundbury.co.uk likewise with any problems or concerns. This is not the place for me to advertise the mag but I would like to thank Robins for his kind words. The magazine has indeed had a major facelift in the last 18months since I took over and I bet that it would be unrecognisable to anyone who read it whilst Brian was Editor.
Nuff said as I don't want to upset anyone on here.

Do they have a message board we can get onto and promote OUR mag & the club which funds this message board ?

Not at the moment sadly, but anyone who reads the mag will know that not a month goes by without me plugging the owners club or this message forum in some way or other. I'm sure that many can testify to this, sadly the favours are very rarely returned by the club itself although the members and local branches have been great in supporting the mag.
I do whatever I can to promote the club, message board and the Morris Minor itself whenever possible

My own view is that any magazine promoting the Morris Minor that reaches enthusiasts that are not members, and encourages them to join the MMOC, has to be a good thing. All credit to Jon.

Any opinions from those who had a mag??

Hi Jon, it arrived today so I've been flicking at it this evening (when resting from the garage!). Greatly improved from the old days - I was going to post even before you asked the question. I'll finish reading it, but it definitely is worthy of consideration; it's like a different mag, you're doing a good job. Will PM when I've finished reading it.

I would now recommend anyone to at least look at it.
