HI I know that there were aprox. 6500 tourers built in 1959. Does anyone know how many of these were for the U.S. market?
I am new to the morris community.[normally a vw guy]. There are not many cars in this part of the country. I am very thankful for the support and well wishes I have received on this site. Thanks to all. Jeff

Jeff,
According to Paul Skilleter's book (The worlds supreme small car) 6.058 tourers were built in 1959.
A total of 14,991 Minors were sold in the US in 1959 but there are no records held to show how many of these were tourers.
You might find it useful to get hold of a copy of the book if you can as it contains a section about Minors in America.
