afternoon all, not been around much recently as ive been away playing with my new toy (well supposedly working aswell with it haha)
shes a bit tatty round hte edges but what a machine she is, done a few thousand miles in it in a few weeks doing jobs and its never let me down. once weather picks up ill be able to tidy up the paint work.
its a 1986 Leyland Roadrunner tilt n slide recovery truck.
jobs to do is paintwork, a few spots of rust on cab, good clean up, paint the bed of it and put in a stereo- long runs are torture with no music and a 4sp gearbox on it lol

Excellent! Are you now going to be the designated Messageboard recovery service?

of course there will be a special rate for moggies in need and members of the board.
i need to give it a good wash but none of the hand wash for £2.50 guys that have set up will touch it lol wonder why ??
i put my minor on the back to see how it looked- looked strange cos my minor has no wings on it or doors or bonnet.
its suprisingly good on fuel for being a 6.0l, i went from falkirk to ayr empty then back with a 3series bmw on it and still managed to get 26mpg from it

yeah ive done a fair wee bit of that, around 30quid for a cat on its own, plus on average about £100 a car, some ppl buy starters and alternators etc but only give a few quid each for them so theres not much poiint in spending the time taking them off.
anyone got any scrap cars :p

i jinxed myself, after sayin that its been great and uber reliable, i had a blow out on motorway today with a car on the back, managed to limp it off the motorway. 150quid later a helpful chap fitted a new tyre to it and off i went- happy as larry jsut with a lighter wallet
