i got some air tools for christmas i have pressuer washed the underneath of the car.i am going to spray wax oil under the wheel arches and the whole underside of the car will this be benificial

yes and then take it for a drive and then wax oil again

Yes, good stuff, dip the nuts and bolts in it,spray it inside all box members and cavities, but, this is not the time of year to do it unless you stand it in very hot water until it is really runny. With the chassis
a good coating will be beneficial followed by use on the road to pick up
a layer of dust etc then another application. This will give a long lasting gooey coating which has protected all of my rebuilds very well just needing a touch up with a brush occasionally. Again it is the wrong time of the year (salt), easy to say but it should have been done well before the winter weather. Don't forget to do the petrol tank.

Heat and/or mix with white spirit. And shake it up well! But no point spraying this over any rusty bits - fix them first and treat with rust 'killer'. Waxoyl is best used inside the closed sections of the car - sills/rear 'chassis' members/door posts / front inner wing sections/front chassis members and up around the steering rack.

Don't be tempted to heat the tin of Waxoyl with anything but a bucket of hot water - the fumes that come off it are explosive.

And the bucket soon goes cold - so you need to renew the water regularly.

Oh, I heated the tin up on my portable gas stove a few days ago to fill my replaced sills...

I'll agree with that.

A few months ago I tried (outside) gently heating around a cup full in an old saucepan to evaporate the solvents to leave a thick Waxoyl for brushing onto bolts etc.
Almost instantly it burst into flames.
Luckilly I was prepared so had a CO2 extingusher handy but that then just blew flaming Waxoyl everywhere
Stupid I know but I've learn my lesson - NEVER heat Waxoyl with anything other then hot water.

I did take it off the second it went liquid... and the top was bunged up with solid waxoyl but I dont think I will be doing it like that again!!!!

I use a hot air gun on mine less risk of a fire and quicker than water,but there is a slight risk I suppose,but means you can quickly reheat in the sprayer(I use an empty shultz,dont know how to spell it,gun and container just put the wax oil into the container attached to the gun and use the hot air gun to warm the container then if it starts to go thick re warm containor and the alloy gun ,works great) Cheers

well thats a job well done.i mixed some diesel and engine oil and sprayed the rear springs,then got the waxoil runny and sprayed under the whole car took it for a drive watched clouds of smoke running from the exhaust then did it again. i think we will be ok for another year now

im due an oil change soon so looks like the underbody will be getting a thorough soaking!
