If your car suffers from a bit of mayo in the rocker box.

When you get home before you go in take the oil filler cap off and the heat of the engine will dry it out.

I leave myself a note on the bonnet to put the cap back before I use it again.

Simple solution, - it works for me.

I get a small amount of emulsion in the rocker cover too. It's worse with cold weather and lots of short runs.

indeed I thought small amounts were a sign of an engine that is not run to temperature a lot. So its always worse for the short run cars, and a good drive should clear it.

The MMOC Tech Tips manual advises fitting a hotter thermostat - 82 deg or even 88deg but increase the Rad cap to 14lb. Has been working for me for a good few years :D - I now have to buy mayo to put on my chips
