I dunno it has a spindle that probably had a crank handle on once.
Some sort of pump perhaps?

It was exactly the same on the other side but there is a spout in the second picture that could be an inlet or outlet pipe.

I've just googled it

nice photos! what kind of camera did you use?

Its a 4megpix Olympus - more or less point and shoot but it has a good glass lens. Which I think is more important than no of pixies. Also I brightened the pics up a bit before I uploaded them since the sun was already on its way down when I got there.

What do you think about this one? I guess its a 2CV kit anyone know better?

Also there was a blue saloon there that I did not get to take a pic of. None of us recognised it. She left the same time as me and went home into the white gate in the picture. I recon she had only travelled 100metres must be a record.

Yes, I think it's a Lomax Lambda 3. I had a ride in one once. It felt surprisingly nippy but it was incredibly cramped inside, especially with the soft top up.

Thats easy to answer Dale, you are used to going for a hack over all sorts of surfaces so a bit of mud would be no problem to you :D
