chrome handbrake button

Hi all, just bought a chrome handbrake button, but it won't fit on the handbrake it seems the hole it is too small for the handbrake anyone had this problem? and what to do? Thanks

Sounds like the button is from another car, the one I have is fine.

I suppose you will just need to drill it and tap a new thread the right size. Better it's too small than too large!

well I bought it from a Morris Minor part supplier so it muxt be for a Minor well I will try drilling it and see what happens! heh
