Front Doors of Traveller

On my Traveller the Passenger door closes with a whisper, but the Drivers door needs a good slam. I have tried adjusting the catches, but can't seem to get them in the right position. Any tips or clues? Or do I just have to keep waking the neighbours?

First check the shut lines of the door in relation to the front wing and B post when it's shut, if the door is set too far in you will need to check the door hinges for wear, and then adjust them to get the front of the door flush with the wing.
Other causes are fitting new rubber door seals that are oversized (read poor quaility)
Worn or loose door latch that locks into the striker plate on the B Post.
Also check the door latch bolt is free to slide in and out and not catching internaly.

I had to gently bend the door frame flange where the seal fits to get a good feel when shutting the door. I agree the important thing is alignment when it is shut. Takes a while but if you fiddle with the hinges and catch it will come right.

if its of any help the rear part of the front wing should align with the gutter line, this will align the front wing and door gap
the modern repro original type of door seal is not the correct profile, the one with clips, so you may have trouble there
and of course if the vehicle has had any A post or hinge post repairs

And it's the catch - and the little eye-hole guide that determine the latched closed position - hinges, not so much.

and in all instances fit the doors first, then the front wings, its easier this way

If the door shuts easily without the door rubber in position then you need to trap a piece of card between the door and the door rubber and then shut the door properly. if you now slide the card along the door edges you will instantly feel where it is too loose or too tight. Where it is too tight you should remove the rubber from that area and bend the flange inwards, a pair of Mole grips with thin metal plates inserted between the teeth and the flange will prevent too much damage.

I find a bit of moly grease on the catch slider helps
