Whats the best way to sort out, clean and protect the leaf springs on a morris?
I have the earlier 7 leaf type.

Cheers,

Just doing a SH pair that came from a certain wise one on here.
Strip, clean to bare metal, oxidiser/rust converter lust incase theres any pits of rust.
Flexible primer, flexible bitu based smoothrite ish kind of paint. Shed loads of work and @ fifty quid a pair new hardly seems worth it until youv got the satisfaction of making something good tat will be good for 20 years+
Sad will be the day i run out of anti submarine netting paint :-(

Paint for anti submarine nets, I presume. Orkney (as in the place - and lets not get on to discussing what the name of the place actually is) had a pretty good reason for having them, and I guess didn't use it all up ;)

As shown yesterday on TV - Submarine X - 1 !!! Much cutting of thick wire nets with remarkably flimsy cutters!

Well this paint i have is leftovers from a job some years ago somewhere not local to here. Darned good stuff it is too - but its the waterproof flexible bit makes it great for springs.
