Was the MM never fitted with a main beam warning light? Not that I'm going to blind other drivers with the MASSIVE 5 inch beams, but its nice to know when there on!

Ive read in the manual something about a green light that shines down above the key, but this must have been removed from my car as theres no evidence of a bulb holder.

The main beam warning light, a small red light just visible through the bars on the left side of the facia grill was fitted on cars commencing 138415 to 140823 depending on specification. Ash trays were also fitted to the grill between 122788 and 131461 onwards. Source Original Morris Minor P. 39

Continuation____ The main beam warning light and the green key light were held in place by the choke knob and light switch respectively.

Davids lowlight is the earlier one without the ashtray in the grill. Early 1950. Thats actually a good question about that warning light, ill have to have a look at the books as well.

49 tourer here has both lights. 52 Saloon doesn't have the main beam warning nor a hole on the black panel behind the dash grille.
Methinks the 49 has the wrong items although it was an Aussie export.
