ok, time for an update on my progress. Everything seems to be taking ages at the moment, due to lack of time ive only been able to spend an hour here and 10 minutes there etc.
Still, the rear spring hanger is now in properly, boot floor is repaired and the wing repair section is now mocked up in place.

The nearside sills have been stripped out,

and the inner sill step has been stripped and zinc primed.

Ive welded in a new quarter floor section, it could of worked out better but it will do!

Looking pretty good. Quick question, are you using Co2/Argon mix or just Co2 for the Mig work?

Im using Beer gas! (thats just straight CO2)

I thought so So I have to say, your welding is superb given that you are using just Co2 with no Argon in the mix. If you ever need to get a weld that looks like it's been done with toothpaste squeezed from a tube, try C02/Argon, it makes it so much easier, although more expensive.

I agree with Moggytech, Argon/co2 is easier having used it at college, but I too learnt on CO2 like Youngun. I think it makes you try harder and makes you a better welder. Having said that, YG's welds look neater than mine!

i know his welding puts alot of us to shame hey

but i've seen his set up and trust me surrouindings make a lot of diference no wind nice and warm

i noticed the dif between welding in the summer and winter

i'm really jealous of his workshop it's well kool i want one when i move home
