Firstly a very warm welcome to the MMOC & this messageboard.
The tourer was introduced along with the 2 door in 1948. An ex member of Leicester branch claimed to own the oldest tourer left which was a 1949 model but I am not sure of the exact date. Mike Perry is the series MM registrar & I'm sure he will be along to give the exact info.
