Lost bolts

Anyone have any ideas how to retrieve door frame bolts from the bottom of a door?

One of those magnetic or pronged grabbing tools? Or - and I'm serious here - blu tac on the end of a stick?

Door off and shake them out. They hide round the curve at the bottom of the door!

Or fish them out through the rust holes!

Actuallly on one of my doors I fitted a plate with self tapers when I sorted the rust!!!

I have a screwdriver which has an extending telescopic 'aerial' with a magnet on the end. It is brilliant for your problem. I have retrieved quite a few dropped items from my Rover 75 engine bay which is too
cluttered to allow the use of ones hands.

They are really handy those things - wish had one - have to resort to bluetack or double sided tape on a stick now and then

if the magnetic extending pick up doesn't work... try a strong car vacuum! I used the 12V vac a few times in the past before I got a magnetic retreiver.
