A Word Of Warning

I have been doing some research into parts supply for the Morris 1000, and in particular compairing pattern parts to genuine parts. I cannot name any suppliers due to T&C regulations on the Forum, but please note the following.
One of the main parts suppliers is using the same images for pattern parts that they use for the genuine part (Rear Brake Cylinder). All they have done, is blur out the AP logo on the genuine cylinder photograph, and re-used the image to show what is obviously not the pattern cylinder.
I am fairly confident that this breaches trading standards. You see a genuine cylinder for £32 and the pattern one looks identical except for the missing AP logo, and it sells for £9.50 The actual pattern part carries its own logo and is obviously not the part shown in the photograph.
I have dealt with this supplier and have always had excellent service from them. So I suspect that what they have done, is tried to keep the cost of photography production down by using one image to represent all similar parts.
I will take this matter up with them directly next week when I phone them.
In the meantime, be advised, what you see, might not be what you get!
