We've been hunting for pics of Mist Green cars or bikes to compare that colour with Mrs T's "ideal Minor colour in her head."
Obviously we've got the ICI code but there aren't any ICI paint suppliers near us and there aren't any cross-codes to other paint manufacturers.
Has anyone got pics of a car in Mist green? Maybe a paint code that is still in common use?
I bought a sample pot of green frrom B&Q but it was nowhere near.
Hi Rob if you go to your local Halfrauds they have a paint mixing service and their system can match almost any paint a couple of years ago they made up a couple of tins of Snowberry White for me that was a good match and they gave me a copy of the mix code which went something like white 91%,green 5%,yellow2%,black1%. and to show my ignorance I queried the black content (because how do you make white with black I thought) but it was a very good match, they will also make the paint in touch up pots as well as spray cans.
Cheers

Rob I think the ICI code should be usable by any paint supplier, shouldn't it? Ask the ESM workshop (not parts dept) - they have the old paint cards in their back room and can look up the code for you if you ask nicely
Prob solved.
Paints4U still stock a pile of paints from ICI and can match a 1949 Morris Mist Green and get it to me in 24hrs. The Mist Green and Thames Blue arrived the next day and I must say that the Thames was put to use in the engine bay straight away and you cannot see the join where it meets the unfaded area behind the chassis plate. 100% match!
About £80 per litre, though!!!!!!
I'm going to spray a flat panel and see if I can get Lechler to colour match both tins at £35 a litre.
