Access to Traveller front post top screws?

Can anyone tell me how I get access to the (two?) screws that hold the top of the front wood post to the "B" pillar?
I can't work out how the felt sliding window seal is held in place, or how much I have to dismantle before I can get the front vertical section of the seal out.
Does taking it out imply having to replace with a new seal, or will I be able to re-use the old one?
The reason I want to get at the screws is that I have a major "creak" that I think is coming from the top of the wood post against the "B" pillar. Tightening the bottom accessible screws made some difference, but hasn't completely cured it.
Any hints or tips?
