Can anyone tell me when Morris Travellers started to have radios? I can remember being in one in 1963 with the radio playing 'Bye Bye Blackbird'. My friend says this is a false memory and they didn't have radios at that stage. Can anyone settle this argument? Cheers, Biff

They never did have a radio from the factory.

Was available as a dealer option only. Oh and if you fit a radio under the parcel shelf, make sure you fit it towards the passenger side. If you fit it dead centre, you cannot get your foot onto the dip/mainbeam switch. Done that

The song Bye Bye Blackbird and car radios have both been around since the 1920s so it's certainly possible.

Mine is attached to the underside of the dash to the right of the steering column using an angled bracket and I find that's an excellent place for it. I removed the parcel shelf because it got in the way of my big feet.

11 wide. I've had problems with insufficient clearance above the pedals, or pedals spaced too close together on many of the cars I've driven. The Minor is OK once you've got rid of the parcel shelf.

I wear size 12 wide steel toe cap boots all the time and I don't have a problem with the parcel shelf being in the way! Just don't ask me to put the main beam on though

my MOT man is a BIGGGGGGg bloke go to be 20 stone and about 6'3"
and he crakes me up everytime i take a mog in as he has to peel himself in and out.
he did say he'd love one but he just can't get in lol
as for the high beam he has to use his hand as he can't bend his knee to do it because there isn't any room.
i'll have to take a pic next time as its well funny watching him fall out
he did say he had a morgan in for test the other day and wanted to fail it as he couldn't get in at all he had to get his apprentice to MOT it lol
