Can anyone help me or point me in the right direction on how to change the points on my morris 1000. I'm sure I can do it if I could just get an idea as to how.

There are detailed instructions in the workshop manual. It's not difficult but to set the throwover point correctly you're supposed to split the body at the diaphragm, which might mean replacing the gasket between the two halves of the pump casting too. Also remember when screwing the body back together to energise the magnet before you tighten the screws.
