Traveller rear door seals

After this mornings oily adventures I've locked myself in the garage with the traveller trying to calm myself down. I've fitted the passenger side door seal, kick plate and sill finisher and started on the back doors. The seals went on lovely but the doors are so tight now I can't shut them properly

What is the best way to adjust them so they close a little easier? I don't want them too easy as once the weather improves and the woodwork shrinks they will be too loose.

Slacken the hinge through bolts, get a piece of 3mm thick balsa wood 4 inches long, and wedge into the door gaps at the bottom while closing the doors. That sets the door gap correctly. Tighten hinge through bolts.

Try and leave the doors closed for a few days to compress the new seals.

Hi - could you explain how the seals are fitted to the back doors please, we have just got a Traveller and there are no rear door seal at all. Many thanks, John

You need 5 metres of seal strip. It's about 3/4" x 3/4" L shaped rubber with an arc joining the ends, a bit like <) shaped. You need some contact adhesive too. It goes all the way round the rear opening and a strip on the left hand door edge where the 2 doors come together.
