More electrics problems.....

At the moment it seems like as soon as I fix one thing, another problem develops which needs fixing.
Earlier in the week my car wouldn't start (it would with a bump, but the electrics wouldn't work, incl. fuel gauge). I sorted this by replacing a fuse (possibly for the alarm/immobiliser)- somebody suggested the fuse box/holder could be dirty as the fuses appeared fine. Would spraying a degreaser on it be a good idea?
Yesterday, my lights stopped working (headlights and brake lights), and today my indicators- but it starts well. However I had to abandon it when it got dark.
All the fuses are fine, and the connections are also, but I'm having some major electrical issues.
Does anyone have any bright ideas?

I *think* it was me that said it, and yes to the contacts in the fuse box. I generally just clean them up with a bit of wet and dry paper though. Can be useful to carefully bend them in to improve contact too - hope it is that, certainly cured my intermittent electrics one upon a time.

Loads of different electrical problems, check engine/gearbox earth to body, and all other earths. Replace fusebox, they are only about £5.00
