door seals/ draught excluders

hi i have a 1964 morris 1000 and im finding it difficult to fit the seals around the door on. everytime i break the little clips and its hard enough to get them on in the first place because they are so small.
is there an easier way

You can get a modern equivalent seal it goes on without the clips. Any of the big suppliers stock it

I've used this but it does require a bigger gap around the door. this is adjustable (via the striker plate) at the rear, but the front edge might prove to be a problem.

I have got some of this trim from Woolies, and i have made a little slider to widen the clip gap before i try and put the trim on. Its just a screwdrive which ive ground down a bit! Works a treat.
