Car Rebuild TV Shows

Just wondered if anyone else is finding these types of shows interesting, or even picking up some tips from them. I've watched the Mark Evans An MG is born, and his Westy project, both very good. I also watch American Hotrod, which suggests that Boyd Coddington employs a bunch of drama queens, but some of the sheet metal work is quite impressive. My favourite though, has to be The Barry White Super Muscle Car show Wrecks to Riches. I mean they turn scrappers into great cars in three to four weeks! The Mustang they did was just awesome.

Yes, I find bits of those shows interesting and end up watching them all - at times- also American Chopper (good metal work done there between the arguing) Wheeler dealers, the UK Wrecks to riches, Overhauling, Biker build off. I like seeing people make something from a flat sheet of steel.

There could allways be more of the technical stuff and less of the dramatics in all those shows (and please cut out the stupid annoying attempts at humor in one of these programmes!!!)

I particularly liked the Campervan and Beatle crisis programs- refreshingly low on the drama and nonsense. They should make a Minor related "Minor Crisis" or simmilar program.

I'm still waiting for one of the 'proper' channels to buy up a season or two of this type of show.

There's [nothing] decent on anyway so they've got the air space for it!

In "Minor Crisis" to be shown on Channel 523 Discovery Turbo in 2008, we watch as "Chickenjohn" attempts to restore both a rusty 4-door Minor saloon and a convertible- doing all the work himself, including painting-, as well as get his traveller up to scratch in time for the National rally of the Morris Minor club 60 years of the Morris Minor celebrations in 2008.

I think only Steve4063 could do that!

OH! One I forgot, one of my favourites- "Bangla Bangers" was just two shows featuring Leipu a Bangladeshi car designer and Bernie a cockney mechanic. Some argiung, yes, but on one program they made an amazing looking Ferrari style coupe from a boring looking scrapped 1970's Toyota. Using just sheet metal, hammers lots of Bangladeshi workers and very simple tools!

Its coming back as a series of more programs. I've seen some new American Hot rod programs as well.

The another annoying thing as well as the arguing is the amount of times all the programs are repeated. Nice to see a few new ones.

"minor crisis" would be really handy. I'd finished my camper before camper crisis came on.
