Thanks. Actually they do sound very practical but I doubt I could wear one in public without being teased constantly. :(

I'll have to get one for the national next year - that and the ginger beard stuck to tartan hat :o

What is the V - shaped pattern of 'studs' in the centre for? :o :o Just decoration or is it there for a reason?

No doubt the more sartorially elegant chaps on the board can enlighten me :wink:

All the different styles they do have the rivets in the same place so I would guess they serve a useful purpose. Something to do with the way they fold the fabric to form the pleats?

Just wondering as my other half has been on about getting a Cornish kilt, but balked when I mentioned the pants thing. Muttered something about moving machinery (turbines & lathes in his case) - the Pot Noodle ad springs to mind. :D :D :D
