Indicator problem

Nearside rear indicator has stopped working including the warning light when signalling left. I have trafficators, so it is the brake light that flashes when signalling. I have checked all earths and connections and all seam to be fine, could it be the flasher unit at fault here? is there a way to test this?

Reading through the forums it appears that I should have a DB10 relay box fitted. I have traced all the relevent wiring but it appears that I do not have one fitted, is this possible?

Hope you can help
Mick

A car with trafficators won't have originally had flashing brake light indicators. Whoever retro-fitted them might have either put the DB10 somewhere non-standard such as inside the dash or replicated it with a circuit based on two or four individual relays.

Tracing the wires from the switch and flasher unit, there appears to be no other relays on the circuit.
I have 4 wires, one to each light from the switch (two left, two right). One wire going to the regulator (first terminal on left) from the flasher unit. One wire from the flasher unit to the centre terminal of the switch then a wire from the warning light to flasher unit. one wire from warning light to earth.

Definitely no other relays that I can see. and definitely no DB10.

The indicators did work perfectly up untill now.

Any ideas?
