I need to shift some poo ..

Vast quantities of it .. Driving round fields picking it up and sticking it in wheelbarrows and then putting it in a poopile ..
So Idea number one was to get a 2cv cut the top off and with a bit of ply turn it into a pickup .. (Road legal is not an issue here) ..
I assumed it would be the same as wen i had 2cv .. Ie .. you can get an mot failure for free .. HAHA !! No way .. I'm not paying £300 for an mot failure . In order to shift some poo ..
So I wondered .. what's a good car to cut up to make a pickup ?

something with a seperate chassis... most cars I would imagine if you cut a large part of the body off then it will collapse in the middle??

Whatever you can get for free, I'd have thought, given that it doesn't have to be road legal and presumably is not intended to be durable

I've got one of them . It's a sankey .. the problem is that it has to be reversed ... load of times ..
As was said someting with a seperate chassis ..

Oh and the other thing is .. It would be kinda cool if it was Diesel .. because given the nature of it's non road legal requirements I might as well run it on red anyway ..

i always thought a skoda with twin exhausts was a wheel barrow
altho these days they make brill cars lol and i will admit when i had my scrap yard years ago it was one of the easiest cars to break up
4 10mm bolts and the whole engine was easily accesible from the back

How close is the radiator up at the front ? What would happen if I puled off the bonnet and cut it down .. so the "boot" was like a sort of shovel ?
That way I drive right up to the MY FAVOURITE CAR IS A DATSUN CHERRY attach a bit of chain to the tipepr device I've fitted and as i reverse the poo hits the deck ..
I liek the skoda idea .. It's got £10 written all over it ..

I wasn't really kidding about 'whatever you can get for free' - since it all sounds a bit scrapheap challenge anyway, strengthen the free car with scrap and hack the back off.

Have a look on freecycle. Or even on Volkszone - you get free beetles on there sometimes.

If you're thinking rwd Skoda, then please don't. Those cars are getting very rare and are appreciating in value all the time. So if you did manage to get a 10 quid one it would be far better to make a tidy profit and sell it on!
If roadworthiness isn't an issue, just get any 90s banger freebie, weld up the doors and chop everything above the waistline off. Job done then

try a P100 - if you find one running but without MOT you have something made for the job...

Get an old dumper truck.
Lister diesel, can be left outside without problem, rot isn't going to affect girder sized chassis, mechanical brakes and good "off road".
Forget eBay as you will be bidding with collectors but look in corner of farm yards, builders mechants etc.
I was offered one for £25 that was in workimg order but seeing I just wanted the engine for another project didn't want the hassle of moving it and then breaking so bought just an engine for £5 instead.
OK I was lucky but they can be found cheaply if you search around.

M-F 135's are now very collectible as well as being a handy tractor.

Found the answer .. in a hedge .. A "Martin" Truck with a 10HP Kohler single engine and an "Albion" Gearbox/clutch assembly..
I tried to start it today .. everthign moves .. nothing seized .. new coil (A moggie one) and got 20 seconds of popping with a spray of PCB cleaner. into the air inlet ..
