Here is a strange thing, if I log in at the top of the page I get logged out regularly. But if I log out then click on "register" then log in on that page and navigate back to the mesage board I don't get logged out!!!

This message board is like a family - you can't choose the other members!! But remember engine oil is thicker than water.
You're right, one computer was asking me to log in all the time and the other wasn't. On the problem computer I logged in via the "register" link and it hasn't asked me to log in again since.

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer.
Same here - used to be able to log in with a little block on the top right of screen - and then would be logged on automatically for many weeks. last few days - had to log on every time, despite much ticking of box. Will try the 'register' screen - thanks for the tip.
I'am constantly the same. I must try the 'register' approach.

Didn't know whether I should make this a new thread or just bump this one, but anyway I'm getting the following login issue:
If I login on any page (other than the main forum index), I get the "Logging you in" message, then it redirects me back to an empty login box, and repeatedly brings up a blank login box as though it failed to log me in.
If I then click the main forum index link, I'm then recognised as being logged in and can post away.
This doesn't happen if I login direct from the main forum index.
It's especially useful whilst we have a few messed up links to sort out on the site (behind the scenes the site is laid out rather chaotically, and it's not a 5 minute job to rebuild it, so currently it gets massaged a bit instead)
[I've made this thread a sticky for now, as we already have 7 threads about essentially the same thing - 'log in' woes and Roger's tip works well (works for everyone??) ]

This is sometimes caused by the two domain names (mmoc.org.uk and morrisminoroc.co.uk). If you logon in one, then follow a link to the other, you're not logged in there!
the club took mmoc.org.uk as the official domain name quite a while ago - there was even a limited edition series of corgi models to celebrate it (IIRC).
I do still however use some of my very old shortcuts with the old domain.

I am on AOL. Whon I type mmoc into the search engine, it gives me the above site as first choice.
I am still having to log in EVERY time, even if I leave the board for 30 minutes.
