Why do I keep getting spyware notices from my anti virus softwere when I am on this site? Sometimes it can detect up to six plus spywere cookies why is this?

Its probably the software your using either being paranoid or maybe the security settings are set high in that or in IE or firefox or what ever browser you are using.
A cookie from here isnt spy ware - its just remembering which posts you have viewed or not etc which makes using the forum easier.
The trouble with a lot of broadband suppliers is they supply really heavy software which can really slow down your machine.
I'm on bt e.g. and no way on earth would put thier broadband software on any of the computers, its bloatware, does lots it doesnt need to be doing so i just access via the wireless link and ignore all of that. Each machine takes care o itself with firewall antivirus & spyware etc.
You can see why they do it, in so much as they need a disc they can mail to a total computer novice who can be up and running in minutes, that and be protected to some extent if they are not net savvy.
