advice sought from Microsoft access whizzes please!

I'd like to use Access to manage the Hop entrant list and make mail shots of the next years rally form to past entrants (output to address labels) and preparing the program a lot easier.

Anyone have suitable experience/ wizdom they'd like to share?

If your sticking with Microsoft Office use the mail merge wizard in Word. So much easier! If you want it setting up I'll happily do it for you John.

Thanks Lee, my GF suggested the same but sadly the master list is in excel not word and so no mail merge option :(

I was hoping to import the list into Access and use that to output to address labels and to the program. Looks like its still hours of cut and paste for me then!

There is a way of exporting a list from excel into an access/word database but it's a little complicated to explain. I'll convert it if you like. I've done it for a couple of the newsletter runs at school.

ahhh! so it can be done. Thanks for the offer to convert Lee, however, I'd best not let the actual list out of my hands in this day and age for obvious potential reasons.
