Can any members help with some info? I am rebuilding a couple of SU pumps and on the main body near the bottom flange, one of them has an outlet about 5/16 diameter and 5/16 long shaped to grip a plastic pipe could this be a breather or linked to somewhere?

Maybe I'm misunderstanding your post, but isn't that where the Filter goes?

It's not the filter housing.The item in question protrudes from the steel body at an angle.

Yes it sounds like it is a breather the S/U pump has been used on lots of difrent cars some had a breather pipe on the maine body of the pump (the steel bit) mostley found on minis/1100/1300 and some C type jags [ This Message was edited by: ianedwards25 on 14-02-2002 22:56 ]
