hazard warning upgrade

Hi, I was thinking about doing the hazard warning light upgrade to my 1968 moggie. I'm an electrician so its easy to understand, but I'm wondering if anyone out there has done this upgrade and went with the seperate flasher unit route or followed the tip of the technical tips section.
