Hi everyone, i've just purchased a 1968 Morris Traveller but it failed it's MOT due to the indicator tell tale on the indicator stalk only flashing when going left and not flashing when indicating right.
Is there a known about problem regarding this or perhaps someone may have a few pointers for me please?
Thanks
Rob

Most likely answer is one of the right hand indicators not working. The repeater lamp on the stalk lets you know that its wiring is OK because it works going left. NOt flashing right says faulty bulb / poor connection / bad earth on outside rigth hand side of car.

Most likely an intermittant wiring connection inside the indicator stalk.
Remove Green Lense and make sure bulb is tight. Tap stalk with indicators set to right. Also check the switch contacts on the indicator switch assembly.

possibly faults:
poor bulb connection - allowing them to work but at slighlty less bright / lower load due to resistance, this mean the flasher unit is not loaded enough to light the tell tail
incorrect bulb - one of your indicators may have a bulb that is rated too low, and so the load will be reduced.
flasher unit close to failure - most likely fault is that the unit is about to fail, and the slight difference left-right is showing now, 5 quid to replace, you might even be able to test this with a friends unit (just swap them over and see what you get)
