A hidden benefit to Minors

Recently I had a friend visit from Australia/Germany and she needed a car for her stay. Normally I would lend her my Subaru and keep the morry for myself but this time, due to family needs, it had to be the other way around. It was her first time driving a morry so a few pointers on the differences were given, e.g. stop before going into first gear, and then she was off.
After getting the car back she made the comment that it was as good as a gym workout. Using the clutch/brake was quite an ab work out according to her. I think, deep down she enjoyed it though. A friend's 16 year old daughter made the comment when she heard about the workout idea - "I bet she enjoyed looking cool though"
Do our Morries keep us fit?

Only if you push it or start it with the handle.

Or if your like me park at the far end of the supermarket carpark to avoid damage and carry you groceries back to the car!

Actually I'm about to have a pollishing work out - very good for the upper body and arms!
Perhaps you're right.

A few weeeks ago another friend's daughter had a problem. She had a school ball to go to and, of course, wanted to make "an entrance". Arriving in a limo was too common, most were doing that. Last year she arranged the use of a Daimler which was a bit different. That left her with a problem for this year of how to upstage that. Her answer, get her dad to borrow my Minor. It seemed to be a sucessful idea.
Around here Minors are viewed as very retro-trendy-cool by teenage girls.

I tell you, the stares you get out here... They've mostly never seen a Moggy before! Lots of kudos with everyone in school :D
But hell, yes, it's a workout... Driving it is, with those brakes, that clutch and the big, big steering wheel! Then you get to working.

I'll say. Then, of course, mine is even better for the old upper body and abs, what with lugging the enging block around the garage, bending into odd nooks and crannies and sanding down huge expanses of rust :-?
Definitely my biggest source of exercise over the summer. I even had to undo all those bolts on the engine that had originally been done up with a torque wrench, and using a useless little three-inch long ratchet... Nothing better for the arms.
