Bull Motif? and I'm sure ESM etc. I got 5 very nice Michelins from Bull Motif as a job lot, for £150....and then had to pay some robbing company £50 to fit them!

My Firestones were aged and when I enquired about replacements was told they hadn't been made in Minor size for years.
That means any Firestone will be NOS.
I was getting quotes of around £35 per tyre for other, cheap, brands fitted by tyre dealers.
In the end I bought a set off one of the big Minor suppliers that has them on offer at around £25 each.
They are TOYO which is a reputable brand.
I have a tyre changer so will fit them myself but even paying to have them fitted (about £5 each) it's still slightly cheaper than sourcing from tyre dealers so worth considering if you struggle to get them.

Its a shame you can get the 135/14" size of tyre as the Minor drives beautifully on these and the tyre looks the perfect size for the Minor wheel rim.
Cheers John - all comments IMHO

135/14"
i thought the radial size was 145r 14 to replace the crossplys?

I think 135/80 R14 is the exact "like for like" size fitted when radials replaced the original 5.20 14" cross-plies, but 145/80 R14 gives a bit more tread area without looking "oversize". I think 155/80 R14 is the biggest that can be fitted on the standard rims without any risk of the tyre "rolling off" the old fashioned rim profile shape.

Also, 145/14" is probably easier to obtain than 135/14".
Cheers, Axolotl.

135's is the correct width for the rim - I also agree it's a shame you can't get them anymore but 145's are not bad.

Easy enough to pop Minor tyres on the rims with two tyre levers! In fact - they can be fitted without levers - just a rubber head mallet will do it, and a smear of Swarfega on the wheel and tyre rims.

sealing them to the rim can however require a high volume airline that not many people will have. (unless you use tubes and you didn't nick the tube with the tyre levers).

Now that sounds like a demonstration for the National. Every hour on the hour?

Maybe you could do it for charity sponsorship? If a bunch of people gave you 5p a go (or maybe 10p to do it without tyre levers), you could raise quite a few quid by the end of the national...
