Finished the O/S rear inner wing today, im still debating as to whether to weld on a new lip or not, what do you lot rekkon? Also, do i need to weld on another piece to the wing, i think its called the Shipping panel or something, is this critical?

Also, I've tacked the Front floor edge panel in place, is this in the correct place before i weld it all up?? It lines up nicely with the outer undersill.........

Ultimate rust cure for your moggy....paint it brown, at least that way you dont notice the rust as much!!

I would move the floor edge panel intowards the floor by about 1", It should meet the outer sill piece at the boxing plate, not beyond it. You may have problems getting the door to fit because the sill cover panel will be sticking out too far as it bolts onto the outer sill piece. Try tacking the outer sill on, re-fit the door temporarily, and see if the door closes with the sill cover panel bolted on.
As for the shipping panel- it may add some strength, but its not essential to pass the MOT. As for the lip in the inner wing- really nice looking repair BTW! its up to you. It will help with locating the outer rear wings and may add some strength if seam welded to the inner wing.

Yes! Yes and yes! You need to make sure the door fits and opens and closes, so this is essential to tack the outer sill in place, fit the sill covers and try the door. If the floor edge panel is in the wrong place then nothing will line up with the doors.youngun wrote:-snip-.
