Reminds me of an Armadillo !
Was nicknamed the lump of butter !
Mind you the ford sierra got called the jelly mould and I'd give my hind teeth to get my RS500 back or even the xr4 rally car i fleetingly owned, still if hadnt got rid of no doubt they would have killed me !

I don;t think the Minor was inspired by the 4CV as Issigonis et al were designing it in secret during WWII at the same time as Renault designed the 4CV so unless they contacted Renault via SOE and the resistance,, hmmn... no too far fetched.
The inspiration for the Minor was US car styling from the early 1940's, I expect this is where Renault also got their ideas from (but being French would not like to admit they copied the yanks).

Reminds me of an Armadillo !
From that pic I can see your point but there are a couple that turn up at some local car shows and they look a lot better in the flesh and the colours are a lot better.
