Ive been cutting and welding here and there today, and found myself at the rear of the car, where the holes in the bottom of the body where the bumper support bars come out is very badly rusted. So, i cut out the rusty areas and welded in a new piece, all i need to know is the diameter of the holes that the bars go through and how critical size wise it needs to be. If ny description is unfathomable, ill take some photos!
cheers,
YG

no idea of the 'exact' hole size sorry, however it's not 'too' critical. The fitting rubber part doesn't actually fit - it just pushes up to the bodywork and is a LOT bigger in diameter. From memory the holes are roughly 10 or 15mm bigger in diameter (in bodgers terms, it's not enough gap to squeeze the end of your little finger into unless the bar is over one side)

Ah thats ok then, i dont want to bodge it really, but as long as i can make a nice tidy hole without it looking too ridiculously big im not worried!
Here are some pics of my progress on it repair wise,

I haven't got a picture but the hole is exactly 1 inch diameter on my esm repair panel if that's any good.
