It might help to remove the escutcheon (the chrome trim thingy) and put it back after you've got the new handle in. Also make sure it's not locked.

Hi

My handle has alwaysed not opened the door ,I removed it today and the two pins that hold the release had disapeared ,so i fitted a couple more and the release works fine now ,but the handle is now floppy [ow er misses] ..

What makes the handle spring back?

My handle has the key in ,opposed to the key under...

Mine are floppy when the door is not pushed firmly into the frame ie the lock has not fully engaged. Try pushing hard to make sure the lock has fully released passed the catch and see if still floppy then.... :o
