Post by dunketh »

Quicky..

Can I assume that rear screen replacement is as easy as front screen replacement - only done from the inside out?

Cheers

I used white grease as a lubricant. It is MUCH harder than the front but Mrs Rust and I did it in about 30 mins. Yes you do fit it from the inside. We fitted the rubber to the glass then offered up the unit to the apperture and using the string method eased the rubber lip over the metal flange.

I've done this was too. I would add that it took a great deal of effort from the man inside  . Also, wear hand and eye protection! You push so hard that if it did break you would probably follow through the aperture :o
Older and more confused than I could ever imagine possible.
