Hello i'm new to this. I've got a Morris 1000 that we bought 18 months ago with view to repair it and run it.We've managed to et a few minor electrical bits working on it & i've managed to snap a few wheel nuts lol.
I need to get the front disc hub off so i can replace the studs & Nuts but i can't locate the adjuster screws.
Can any body give me some advice please? also would it be worth throwing it at an M.O.T. and see what faults it comes up with?
It is still a good starter
Thanks for your time.

You say you have discs fitted (generally there are 2 types Marina or Ford) or do you means drums.
If it is drums the wheel nuts can strip the threads and often the studs are OK have you checked this.

Hi Kev thanks for your prompt reply.
The studs are well and truly snapped lol it's the drum i'm struggling to get off so i can try and replace them. It's swimming in wd40 at the moment and still the hub wont come off i have persuaded it to move so i can try and locate the adjuster screw but to no avail
Thanks
Bruce

Shine a torch in through the adjuster hole and you should be able to see the adjusters when you rotate the drum. Remember there's two on each side on the front drums.

Hi alex.
I have tried to do that but i think i can only locate one at a about 7 o'clock but it's a bit hard with it outside to get any good light even with a torch .I ve stuck it in an given it a turn but it seems as if it just keeps on turning.
regards
Bruce

The other adjuster is 180 degrees from the first one. Does the drum turn freely?

If you use the wheel on the remaining wheel studs it makes it a fair bit easier to turn (although it doesn't help you to see if you've turned it far enough!)
you can see the wheel cylinders from the far side of the back plate. On the front, one adjuster is above the rear cylinder and the other is below the front cylinder. On the rear, the adjuster is below the cylinder.
