Quick cheap check on the Minor you are thinking of buying

Hi, a tip from Practical Classics:
"While you might fight shy of the cost of an HPI check, I find it reassuring to use the short version. Text "check 948 SMM" (substitute whatever the registration number is) to 88600 and within seconds you'll get back the make and model, partial VIN number, date of registration, number of owners and whether it has been recorded stolen. All for a quid."
