Driving Challenge was to drive a Moggy we provided round a series of cones, into a 'garage', and then back to the start line in reverse. All while having a tennis ball in a plate stuck on the bonnet - each time the ball came out you had to get out of the car and replace it and then run back to the driving seat. About 90 people had a go at that over the weekend.
Interbranch Challenge was a new course, plus you had four members of your team in the car (plus a marshall - made it cosy!!) and each of you had to swap rounnd so everyone got a turn behind the wheel. Overall time counted for all four drivers. FIFTEEN teams entered that, and it took so long that we went over time by half an hour. A measure of its success was that prizegiving for the concours etc had to be delayed until the challenge was over, since there were so many people watching the Interbranch

You wanna get five people in a VAN!!??

No, it was a 4-dr saloon we provided for the job, but of course LCV owners were welcome to have a go - I'm pretty sure more than a couple did

As I recall it was ALL prizegiving

but as far as I am concerned, if everyone was enjoying themselves whats a small delay, providing of course that people were not waiting to get away

I have to admit, I'd be the one turning up with a modified potato cannon, a can of lighter gas and an assistant.
Blam! Take that you skittles!

Well
we had a riot*, but I'm afraid the car suffered a bit with the stop-starting and the heat
*Not immesurably aided by the fact we won
