Oily wiring loom under the car
The wiring loom cloth covering under the car is oil soaked from the previous leaky gearbox and is pretty disgusting. Wiring's ok and I am thinking about using either wrap round or split convoluted tubing to protect it - any views as to which is best to use?

The split tubing will be too bulky and won't be too happy about fitting with the original retaining tabs on the floorpan. I carefully removed the old tape with nail scissors and re-wrapped with plain black adhesive loom tape bought on ebay.
Older and more confused than I could ever imagine possible.
