convoy from southampton to national this saturday

I along with Debbie and Martin will be leaving Southampton between 9-30 – 10-00am Saturday to travel in convoy to the national, we will be taking the A34 Oxford route as apposed to the M25 & M1.
If you intend travelling the same day and you’re our area and would like to join us let me know.

Be Careful!

Nottingham county is out of boundes for convoys!

The injunction prevents five or more vehicles from "congregating, driving in convoy, or racing" in the county.

The council said the move followed hundreds of complaints about noise and anti-social behaviour of drivers.

A similar injunction was obtained by Nottingham City Council in 2006 which applied to the city.

The injunction carries a maximum two year jail sentence for anyone found breaching the order.

Mind you, the idea on "boy racers" in classic cars?

That's ridiculous! Selective enforcement in action I presume.

Also remember that the A43 will be closed to through traffic between the M40 and M1 from Friday to Sunday. Some sort of race going on nearby, and I hear a local boy might do well...

I've been looking at different routes - if I remember I'll bring the atlas on thursday, Jay, and we can plan meeting points.

Agree with Alex there

seems a bit OTT.... Think I'd chance it as I don't see how they can call classic cars ' boy racer' type motors.. how would they prove that you were in convoy anyway ? "just happens that there was 20 other Moggys driving down the same road at the same time officer... nowt to do with me"
