A bit off topic but on the same lines, curious to know what a really mint vehicle fetches today?

I think they were around £500 - £600 price range then.
Mint vehicles today vary because of different views on mint but very nice 2 doors can be found for £1500 ish if you are lucky but Convertibles and Travellers are probably 3 times that with traders prices a bit more as they have a profit to make.

Probably about a third of what its actually cost you to make it mint... and that's if you're lucky!

I haven't got them with me, but I have some period advertisements (from 1957 or 58 I think), and I seem to remember the price being £416 plus about £175 PT for the 2-dr. The traveller was significantly more, IIRC.

I remember that for the outrageous amount of purchase tax - about 40% I think! :o
