How many Moggies in Cornwall ?

Post by trenowin »

Being a newbie to the club, I thought I would see what was going on in the county. :o
Alas there appears to be no county club, but moggies by the score down here in the west, so has no one joined or just can't be bothered to organise anything. :(
If anyone is interested in a meeting in west Cornwall let me know.

I think you will find that Devon and Cornwall have one of the highest concentrations of Club members.

About the same for me, but I have the Avon branch closer - even though 'Avon' no longer exists :)

They do not appear because they are not a branch of the MMOC they are an independant club - I can't remember whether they used to be & dropped out or what but this has come up on several occasions & they wish to remain seperate.

Thanks for the link. Have contacted the Cornwall club, having had a chat with the secretary, it seems they wish to be independant, still they are local to me so I will go along to have a look.

I have just returned after a holiday in Boscastle, Cornwall, driving down from Blackpool in our 4-door Morris. Does this count, at least as a temporary resident?

What was it like? I'd be very worried if I were a Boscastle resident, given the flood predictions for this year. :-? :-?

Yes some of the reports from there last week looked a little nervy.
Cheers

As usual - media hype! There had been some surface water flooding for a short while, but nothing out of the ordinary for that sort of terrain. A few soggy sandbags in evidence, but no damage, apart from one shop and 2 or 3 houses flooded in a minimal way. All cleared up and open for trading by the time we arrived on the Saturday.
