You need to shrink the image down to a sensible size (probably less than 250 pixels wide), upload it to some web space or a photo gallery (http://www.fotopic.net/ for example), copy the address of the image, and paste it between [img] and [/img ] in the signature box on your profile page.

I think you're trying to use an image that's hosted on a server which doesn't allow you to place images from it on other web sites (rather annoyingly, considering the large number of Myspace users who put images from my web server on their profile pages without permission

).

okay, now im just blinking confused! i've been reading all the other people's problems with getting pictures on here, and it makes me chuckle that i am not alone! you would think at 21 i would be mildly computer literate, but alas, i am officially being a muppet!

okay, ive gone a fair way into getting pics, i.e-ive got a couple on here...but...how do you make them bigger?? you cant really see my car, which kinda defeats the object me thinks...

They appear at whatever size you saved them to the server. You'd need to save them bigger

For my money, yours are just right, and show your cars fine. I must admit I tend to block the bigger ones because they (along with those dreadful Flash abominations which I block too) annoy the hell out of me

What's the address of your gallery?

With Fotopic when you copy the URL of the large image (not the thumbnail, which is what you've done), the output width is encoded in the address. Change that number and Voila... It automagically gets resized for you.

For example moggyminor16's full size image address is images3.fotopic.net/?iid=ypdk6i&outx=800&quality=70 which comes out as:

If you change that to images3.fotopic.net/?iid=ypdk6i&outx=250&quality=70 it gets shrunk to:
