Welcome along. Always good to see new people on here. Know what you mean about leaks. I discovered the sunroof in the Fiesta leaks today, constant drips on my Head as I was going down the M3........

the only fortunate thing in all this leaking mess is that i dont have a carpet in at the moment! saying that, it doesn't really matter as the mog has been off the road since i bought it...in april...!! re-mot this week though...so we are feeling optimistic! even though the car hates me!

I found a new leak just before the guy next door reversed into the front of my car!

ha, pete from sadmog bought a bumper iron off me a few ago now, told me all about sadmog! when the car is up and running, i think i might come along and have a chat with you guys, if im invited...;-)

By the way, in case you don't know - get those leaking screen rubbers fixed ASAP! Under the back seat there's a nice little trap for water that comes in at the back; it's useful to drill a few small holes down there to let the water drain out anyway; but my mog's new floor took a battering because the screen rubber at the back leaked and I didn't realise for a while.

And obviously, at the front you generally get to see the pools of water -> rust forming

its so nice to know that im not alone in the beautiful world of leaky cars! have i seen on here before(or am i making it up??!!) that series II's leak more then the others...please...don't let it be true!!

Rear screen rubber is easier to replace though

my dad bought a moggy 2years ago...i admit now that realistically, although i had seen many about, i did not know what the car was! and...i fell in love! but i love the split screen, that was the only one a would have...i just wish the wheel cylinders weren't so expensive!

what year is yours then?

ahem...i OBVIOUSLY meant brake cylinder... !!

mine is a '53, january i think it was first registered! im the second owner:-) its been in a garage for 15 years, the whole front end was missing, it was a real state cosmetically, but needed hardly any welding! the bumper in the pic is one i bought and just rested it on to see what it looked like, but i need to fibreglass it a little as it has lots of holes and is also a little dented! cheesegrater cost a small fortune on ebay, but was essential! hockey sticks werent cheap either! its funny how quickly u can spend money on these cars isnt it??!!

If you could tell me what year it is, some brake parts are interchangable with the backplates
