morris minoe series mm engine number location

hi...can anyone please tell me how to locate the engine number of a 1951 side valve morris minor series mm?thanks

It is normally on the bulkhead, just behind the where the wiring loom goes into the bulkhead.
Is this a UK built MM?

The number Onne is on about is on the chassis number plate and that would be for the original engine. The number on the engine itself is located on a plate below the dynamo on the side of the engine block. Not unusual for this to be missing though!

I must be getting old
Yes, there should be a copper round plate on the engine, which polishes up quite nicely
If you want a picture give me a shout, I have a polished up engine in my container

This is my engine. The number is on the "dry" side of the block, where the dynamo and starter motor are

once again ,i would like to thank you for your valuable info.you see,the side valve morris minor are so rare here in Penang that i could not find anyone who knows about the engine number plate.
