I used to link straight to the message board from my desktop, now I have to go via the national rally info screen, is this done for a reason by someone, or is my computer behaving strangely as usual ?

That's part of a rolling update on the main site moving towards taking it to a full php script, so the previous link you followed (the index.php) now takes you to the front page.

As Matt says, just bookmark the new page. :)
Happy Minoring!

Well spotted that man - although it was only like that for a couple of minutes!

As you say, I'm gradually getting everything to PHP so we get a consistent look (and so i don't have to change 300 pages just to change a menu item!)

Index.php will permanently point to the home page in the near future
and I'm getting a test version of the site so my tests won't affect anything in future (after I broke access to the forum from the terms and condition pages the other day.........)

There's a certain ying-yang balance there, using increasingly modern technology to facilitate discussion about much older technology.
